Chairman Michael Durfor and Stu Arnett, explained RSA 79-E, Community Revitalization Tax Relief Incentive, which encourages investment in downtowns and village centers with a new tax incentive modeled on existing New Hampshire statute (the so-called Barn Bill). Its goals are to encourage the rehabilitation and active use of under-utilized buildings and, in so doing, to promote strong economics and smart, sustainable growth. The Harbor House Livery would like the Board of Selectmen to place the following article on the Town Warrant;
Shall the Town vote to adopt the provision of RSA 79-E Community Revitalization Tax Relief Incentive to apply to the Village Commercial district as defined by the Town of Sunapee Zoning Ordinance?
The Board agreed to put the article on the Town Warrant.
